NRA calls for projects’ goal:
to increase the "dynamics" of the French system of research and innovation
• "Non-thematic" programs: fostering the emergence of new concepts (Young researchers call; whites call, Chairs of Excellence call; Back Post-Doc call)
• "Thematic" programs: increasing research efforts on economic and societal priorities
• Emergence program: to improve and accelerate the commercialization of public research
• partnership programs: developing partnership research / industry
> BiotecS: partnership research in health biotechnology
> TecSan: partnership research in health technology
• transnational programs: contribute to the best French research positioning in an international context (Era-Net EuroNanoMed; ERA-Net ERASysBio ...)
Selection criteria
Explicitly defined in any calls, they include in particular:
> The scientific quality of the project and partners (all calls)
> The recovery / position relative to the market (in the case of partnership projects)
Public funding schemes
> Public laboratories: 100% of marginal costs
> Small Business: subsidy up to 45% of eligible expenses
> Companies other than SMEs: grant up to 30% of eligible expenses
The non-funded by the NRA is eligible to the Research Tax Credit (CIR).
Additional funding
> attributed to projects approved by the cluster and held by the NRA.
> Up to 7% (varying from year to year) the amount of th einitial grant paid to the partner (capped at €18k).
> provided to the project partners located in the R&D area's of the cluster
- for public laboratories: supplement intended to cover extra costs related to participation in the activities of the cluster (public-private partnership projects engineering, partners research, joint strategic thinkings, communication, project management, ...)
- for business: the assigned allocation is additionalfunding to the project
