FINOVI foundation
Created following the Ministry of Research’s call in May 2006, for the Advanced Research Thematic Network (RTRAs) establishment. Structuring tool of innovative academic research in the field of infectious diseases in Lyon and Grenoble, the foundation has a €16M initial endowment
Goals :
To contribute to develop a research cluster in the fields of infectious diseases, which is recognized for its excellence abroad.
Vocation :
>Develop the potential local research by helping existing forces and by attracting additional forces
>Develop high potential innovative research
>Develop new schemes of research funding
Development plan of the Foundation:
>Creation of young research teams
> Research projects’ funding for local units attached to the foundation
> Postdoctoral positions’ funding for local units attached to the foundation
