The Portfolio of R&D Projects
Projects selected and funded by the FCE
In 2005 and 2006, six partnership projects were accredited by the cluster and selected by the Ministry of Industry as part of the FCE calls for projects.
2005
- GAP : Healthcare shield Solutions against Avian Flu and Flu Pandemics
Participants: Merial (project leader), Sanofi Pasteur, bioMérieux, the Biosafety Level 4 Laboratory, the French National Influenza Virus Reference Center, and the Interactome Laboratory (French National Institute of Health and Medical Research (Inserm) U503 / IFR Biosciences)
- PRAVIC : Innovative Biomolecules for rare Diseases
Acteurs : Participants: OPi (project leader) Protein’eXpert, Lyon Civil Hospitals (HCL) and the Léon Bérard Research Center
- BIOTHERAPIC : Therapeutic Solutions against the Hepatitis C Virus
Participants: Transgene (project leader), HCL, Grenoble University Hospital, Inserm and the French National Center for Scientific Research (CNRS).
2006
- Micro-VAX: New Vaccine Delivery System
Participants: BD (project manager), sanofi pasteur and Inserm
- DEMINAP: Use of Toll-Like Receptors (TLR) to Detect Unnapparent Micro organisms for Diagnostic and Therapeutic Applications
Participants: Innate Pharma (Project Manager), bioMérieux, the International Agency for Research on Cancer and Claude Bernard University
- FIV-VAX: Development of a FIV Vaccine
Participants: Merial (project manager), Protein’eXpert, Edouard Herriot Hospital, CNRS, Inserm and Claude Bernard University of Lyon.
2007
- ALPHA VAC: a new therapeutic approach for the treatment of Hepatitis C virus infection based on the combination of a therapeutic vaccine and a nanoparticle-based formulation of IFN ..
The project aims to treat all chronic patients infected by this virus (170 millions people Hepatitis C virus infected, 50 % can't be currently cured).
-
CARBINFEC: identification and development of oligosaccharides molecules, from biomass, inhibiting virus (Influenza, Dengue, Hepatitis C and B) attachment and stopping their entry into target cell.
Partners: Elicityl (project leader), Kalys, Cermav-CNRS, UMR CNRS/CEA/UJF, INSERM U758, Medicine University of Lyon.
The project aims to develop new antiviral molecules acting as inhibitors of the "virus/target cell" interaction.
-
HYPERBAR: development of a new industrial physical process for the inactivation of bacteria and viruses in Vaccine Production.
Partners: Merial (project leader), Top Industrie, Réseau Technologique des Hautes Pressions from CNRS, Institut de Virologie Moléculaire et Structurale (IVMS) of Grenoble.
This project aims to develop a vaccine production process that does not use a chemical inactivation process.
- CollectAIR: Development of an air sampling device dedicated to bioaerosol analysis for healthcare center
Partners: CIAT (project leader), FAURE Ingénierie, CEA Leti, CSTB (Interior Environment Microbiology Laboratory), ELYO Cylergie and ENS Lyon.
The project goal is to develop an air sampling device for continuous monitoring of microorganisms present in the air (viruses, bacteria).
- Hu'S-MAP: Development of technologies for monoclonal antibody humanization based on molecular humanization, humanized mice generation and production of human antibodies from immortalized B lymphocytes strategies.
Partners: PX'Monoclonals (project leader), Genoway and the INSERM U851 Fundamental and Clinical Immunobiology Laboratory.
The stake of the project is to use the technologies built up to develop therapeutic antibodies against infectious pathologies such as hepatitis B and avian flu.
