« Virus’Attack ! »: Lyonbiopôle looking for young artists
For the opening of its Infectiology Disease Center , Lyonbiopôle (Healthcare Shield from diagnosis and prevention to treatment of humans and animals infectious diseases) is launching a competition for young creators (- 30 years old).
Students from art schools, associations and independent graphic artists from Rhone Alps are invited to create a model (1.5m/26.5cm horizontal paper) depicting the theme: " Virus'Attack ! "
A jury composed of regional personalities from the art sector will award a prize (€ 2000) based on the models given by the candidates.
The winner will then deliver a work based on the chosen model, which will then be reproduced as a giant canvas painting on a wall (15 meters /2.65 meters)
The models of all the participating artists will be exhibited in Lyon and Grenoble in order to support the project and will be relayed by the media activity " Youthmeeting Public Health."
With this competition, Lyonbiopôle creates a new action around the Art and Research themes and launches, beyond its mission of public health, a social and educational mission targeting young artists.

- 15 January 2009: Deadline for participant registration and Brief
- 15 February 2009: Deadline for model submission
- 26 February 2009: Jury * and Awards Ceremony *
- April 2009: Opening and Inauguration of the Infectology Desease Center with all participants
