FABS «French American Biotech Symposium» on New Vaccine and Therapeutic Approaches in Infectious Diseases

The Symposium aims to promote research and innovation where California and France share a competitive advantage and to favor French-Californian cooperation between research laboratories and biotech companies in order to set up collaborative and innovative research projects.


Launched in 2008, th symposium was held on April 2, 2008.

It is co-organized by the Office for Science and Technology of the Embassy of France and Lyonbiopole (Rhône-Alpes, France) in partnership with The Salk Institute for Biological Studies (La Jolla, CA) and French BIO Beach (La Jolla, CA).

In 2009, the symposium will be held on March 30-31, in Lyon France

 

4 sessions will cover :

 

1- Vaccines, goals and development


2- Pre clinical and clinical models, approaches and strategies


3- Epidemiology, follow up of infections, north/south challenges


4- New therapies, new perspectives for treatments

 

 

The program will last 2 days including scientific presentations, workshops, individual meetings and laboratories visits. The program will be soon finalized

 

Registration will open in January 2009.
